Poppy & Nonni and The Maroon & White Game

What a day! Nonni and Poppy came down to bring Luke his birthday present. They can't come the weekend of his party so we got to see them early. Daddy is very glad that Luke got two massive super soakers. The boys might get to play with them if I get tired of playing with them.

Nonni and Poppy rode horses. Poppy was wearing his tennis shoes and they wouldn't fit in the stirrups so he had to ride with just his toes in the stirrups - he didn't ride for long. Nonni, on the other hand, was having a blast. She rode around with Poppy.
Then she led the wagon train.

Then Daddy and Luke rode Sam and Nonni and Garrett rode Scarlett.

Then Amanda and Luke rode Sam and Nonni and Garrett rode Scarlett some more.

Of course we had to play wit Bree. Everybody wants to see the baby! Look, 4 teeth!

Don't try this at home. You really shouldn't be under there Garrett. Good thing this is one sweet little girl!

Then we got to go to the Maroon and White Game. HEB had free hamburgers and hot dogs. Water was $4 a bottle at another booth. (No, we didn't get any H2O) The boys slid down the big super moonwalk slide mountain thing. Why can't adults play on it???

Garrett climbing up.

Luke sliding down. He started jumping at the top and almost came down on his head. You heard a gasp go through the crowd as he teetered on the edge and then finally sat down and slid on his rearend.

We sat right on the front row in the Zone when we got inside. The security guard working that end was real cool. Walked up and gave all the kids at the front a sucker. He made them get down off the wall, but not before I got a picture!

We were super close to watch the action.

Couldn't get any really good action shots. Took one of a guy diving in for the touchdown but I had the camera set wrong and just got a big blur. Stinks. Still we had a great time. Watch the plays up close, see what some prospects are. McGee looked great, Jerrod Johnson was rockin, Goodson was on, a freshman #28 (RB) was burning them up too. I can't wait to see what Sherman does with these guys next year! Then they had fireworks afterwards. Looked to be 1 1/2" mortars. Was different than the shows I do, I think this one was run off a computer to get the timing right with music and video on the Jumbotron. It was pretty cool. Overall, a really fun day!

That picture of Luke and Garret sitting at the game is so cute. It looks like one of those pictures they have in Aggie magazines :)
